Antique Russian Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Band
A classic and timeless antique Russian ring with pre-1927 hallmarks, this buttery 14k gold band is flush set with 3 deep blue natural sapphires and 4 old cut diamonds with tremendous sparkle. Hallmarked with St. Petersburg assay mark, purity stamp 56 (pre-1927 Russian mark for 14k), and initials GP, likely maker's initials (this piece is NOT gold plated, despite GP being used as a modern mark for gold plated jewelry.) The ring predates 1924, when St. Petersburg became known as Leningrad.
Ring measures 6mm at widest point.
