A tiny work of art, this substantial and beautiful late Victorian/early Edwardian sterling silver mesh purse features an art nouveau style clasp and a chatelaine ring, meant to hang from a lady’s belt. It is engraved with a monogram- AL
Purse has sterling silver purity marks, as well as the maker’s mark JEB for James E. Blake. It is in exceptional condition, with its original patina. There are minor loose rings on the sides which do not affect the integrity of the purse. Measures 7” x 4” with an additional 3” length of chain.
