FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What materials are used in your jewelry? All of my jewelry is entirely hand-fabricated in my studio, starting from pure 24k gold alloyed and milled to the desired purity. I pride myself on using the highest quality materials to craft exquisite pieces. Additionally, all gold and silver used are 100% recycled. I seek recycled vintage and antique stones when possible, and otherwise source only conflict-free stones.
2. What is your return policy? Because of the handmade and often one-of-a-kind nature of my pieces, I do not accept returns or offer refunds. However, I do offer exchanges and am always happy to work with you to make sure you are happy with your Moon Honey purchase. If you're unsure about sizing, materials, or details before ordering, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns at hello@shopmoonhoney.com
3. Can rings be resized? Yes, some rings can be resized. Please reach out to me before purchasing to inquire about resizing options. Please note that there may be a resize fee for certain rings.
4. What is your shipping policy? All ready-to-ship orders are mailed out within 3 business days of the order being placed, and are shipped using USPS Priority Mail. Signature confirmation is available upon request. International orders are shipped using USPS Priority Mail International. Please note that international orders may be subject to additional customs duties. Made-to-order pieces are shipped within 3 business days of project completion, unless otherwise discussed.
4. Do you offer custom orders? Absolutely! If you would like a piece of jewelry similar to something on my site or have a specific design in mind, please reach out to hello@shopmoonhoney.com for custom orders. I love collaborating with my customers to create unique and personalized pieces.
5. Can you use heirloom stones in custom pieces? Yes, I am always honored to work with heirloom stones in custom pieces. Whether you have a cherished family gem or wish to incorporate heirloom pieces of jewelry into a new design, I'd love to help you create a piece that honors the original story and materials of your heirloom.
6. What is the minimum price for custom orders? Custom orders start at $1500. Please understand that custom work, due to the nature of collaboration, research, sourcing specific stones and materials, and designing a piece from scratch, requires more labor and time than ready-made pieces, and will incur more expense. This minimum price applies regardless of metals used.
7. Can I use heirloom gold in a custom piece? Due to the nature of fabrication, and the inability to ascertain what alloy metals are used in heirloom gold, I unfortunately cannot use the same physical gold for new pieces while guaranteeing structural integrity of the finished piece. Heirloom gold can sometimes be used for smaller accents, such as granulation, on a finished piece. If you have heirloom gold you would like to trade in towards the final value of a custom piece, you will be credited the scrap value of the gold.
8. Can you re-make a specific piece in silver? Yes, although all custom pieces are subject to the $1500 minimum regardless of metals used. This is due to the labor and time involved in creating custom pieces.
9. How do I inquire about custom orders? To inquire about custom orders, resizing options, or any other inquiries, please contact me at hello@shopmoonhoney.com
