Created as a more affordable answer to the incredibly popular diamond and platinum tennis bracelet that was all the rage during the 1920s and 1930s, these gorgeous hand-cut paste bangles look as fresh and modern today as they would have looked on the arm of a fashionable flapper. While not as lux as the expensive diamond version, this bangle is by no means costume jewelry. The step-cut pyramid, foiled glass paste stones are hand cut and channel set into a beautifully crafted sterling silver frame, with appropriately deco chevron-shaped cutouts behind the stones, and a beautiful foliate scroll motif running along the top and bottom of the channels. This bangle is both elegant in its simplicity, and brilliant in its sparkle.
Bracelet is in good shape, with a small amount of denting visible in the walls of the channel setting, as well as a small repair on one side of the clasp. There are some minor chips to a few of the cut paste stones, but due to the way they reflect light, the chips are not visible without intense scrutiny. The clasp is sturdy and secure, and the hinge moves freely. Bracelet measures 2.25" across its widest point, 3/16" high, and is intended to fit a small wrist.
