While we may think of the Edwardian era as particularly stuffy, there were many whimsical and interesting trends, especially in the world of jewelry. One of the most wonderful is the sword shaped jabot pin- initially intended to pin fancy lace jabots to blouses and dresses, it eventually evolved into a versatile piece of jewelry that could adorn anything from a dress bodice to a hat. This wonderfully ornate silver example is one of the largest ones I have come across, and has its original sheath and safety chain.
Pin measures 5.25" long. It is in excellent condition. I have cleaned but not polished this pin, and will polish by request.
