This exceptional example of a late Georgian era carved rolling pin bead necklace showcases an elegant, fluted shape, allowing the intricately carved, graduated beads to neatly nestle against each other. These fluted beads are rather uncommon, and I come across them far less often than the straight rolling pin bead style. This strand contains a beautiful spectrum of coral colors, from pale pinkish salmon to intense orange-red. It fastens with its original push clasp, made from a larger coral bead.
This necklace is in excellent condition, and has been professionally restrung by me. This necklace came to be strung entirely out of order, and was a restoration project, requiring each bead to be measured and organized into its proper, graduated order, from smallest beads at the ends to largest bead in the center.
