This is the longest of these "rolling pin" style necklaces I have been able to find so far, measuring a respectable 18". These carved coral necklaces have become somewhat of an obsession for me, and I never cease to marvel at the time and skill that was required to carve each and every tiny coral bead. Made of natural, untreated Mediterranean coral in an incredibly vibrant shade of orange, it is an absolutely timeless piece.
Necklace is in excellent condition. It has been professionally restrung by me, on era-appropriate silk cord. When I purchased it, it had a modern spring-ring clasp, which I have replaced with the correct antique gold fill barrel clasp.
