This ring encapsulates everything I love about late Victorian era jewelry! It is romantic, whimsical, dainty, and glitters beautifully in the light. A central Australian opal cabochon glows with rainbow fire, and is adorned with two small, twinkling rose cut diamonds above and below. All three stones are held with tiny pointed claw prongs. It is rare to find a Victorian era opal in such phenomenal condition! The photographs show it from both sides- one side shows more green/yellow flash, the other shows more lilac/pink flash.
Ring measures a size 7, and is 0.5" long from top to bottom. It tests as 14k gold, and is stamped with the maker's mark for M. B. Bryant (3 interlocking rings), a jewelry manufacturer active in NYC from 1858 to 1931. This ring is in perfect condition.
