A delicious feast for the eyes, this mid-Victorian era bombe ring is tightly packed with a profusion of green and blue turquoise. Likely of Persian origin, they are all hand-cut and of incredibly fine quality, with very little, if any, matrix showing. This style of ring was very popular during the mid to late 1800s, especially in this combination of turquoise and rose gold. Each turquoise cabochon is held by hand-split prongs. It is made of 9k rose gold with a silver top for the settings and prongs.
This ring is in excellent shape, with one very minor chip to a single turquoise cabochon. All wear to the turquoise is appropriate for its age.
