Antique Victorian Two Tone Gold Pearl Earrings

A classic Victorian era style, these beautiful two-tone earrings are made out of rose and yellow gold and are adorned with wild-harvested pearls, which predate our modern cultured pearls. Ornamented with textured leaves and flowers, this pair was rescued and restored to its original form after a more modern conversion to screwback fittings. They have been given new 14k gold hooks in a size and shape that is appropriate for this earring style. The remaining gold is unmarked but tests between 10k and 12k (and is likely a mix of both). These earrings show an undeniable Iberian influence, and similar examples have been found from Spain, Portugal, Southern Italy, and Mexico.

Earrings are in very good condition, with some minor dents in one of the navette shaped rose gold sections in the center. Earrings measure 2" long from top of hook to bottom of pearl drop.
