Inspired by an ancient gold funerary crown in the shape of a flowering myrtle wreath, these timeless, evocative earrings are made from hammered sheets of 14k gold, aged and antiqued to give it the patina of millennia. Echoing the shapes of ancient diadems, these earrings are an elegant and beautiful memento mori, inspired by a gold funerary wreath in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum.
These earrings have intentional imperfections to create the look of something plucked from a pyre, and hidden for thousands of years.
