Sporting an untreated Bolivian amethyst of the deepest magenta purple, with vibrant red flashes, this ring hearkens back to an era when amethysts were considered one of the “cardinal “ gems, as valuable as diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. Nestled in a 14k yellow gold, Georgian era inspired shank and setting, lavishly studded with granulation, it is an echo of times past when the noble amethyst was highly sought after and prized.
The setting is entirely hand fabricated using wire and sheet made in-studio, starting from pure 24k gold grain.
