Hailing from the oldest aquamarine mine in Brazil, the cornflower blue Santa Maria aquamarine has long been the most sought-after variety of this popular blue variety of beryl. One of the birthstones for March, it is a popular gem, but rarely as deeply colored and saturated as Santa Maria aquamarines are. This entirely untreated stone is accompanied by two deep blue c. 1950 recycled sapphires, and set into recycled 14k yellow gold.
The setting is entirely hand fabricated using wire and sheet made in-studio, starting from pure 24k gold grain.
