With its origins in Ottoman era harems, puzzle rings are an enduring part of the Turkish goldsmithing tradition. In fact, apprentice jewelers and goldsmiths are still often required to learn how to construct a puzzle ring as part of their training! Made of four interlocking bands that only fit together when layered a specific way, they are a charming (and, if you don't know the proper steps, infuriating) addition to any jewelry collection. This particular example is made of 14k yellow gold, in a beautiful and ornate flower and scroll pattern, and is set with a small natural emerald.
This ring is in very good condition. There is a small, existing repair to one of the outer bands (shown in photos). This ring fits a size 7, and the central floral motif measures 5/8" tall
